Originally launched in 1935 by Germaine Monteil, and recently relaunched by Five Star, Royal Secret is a rich and yummy oriental fragrance. This fiery concoction opens with fresh citrus notes, then combines a classic French heart of jasmine and rose with exotic base notes of sandalwood, musk, and myrrh. Five Star, a New York-based company founded by former Parlux executive Jeffrey Dame, and since mid-2000 owned by Quality King Distributors, is building a prestige fragrance group by buying the rights to fine classic fragrances that have "suffered from a lack of attention", and then giving them a fresh start.
